LocalAnisotropy

Orientation (azimuth, dip, rake in degrees), range ratios (semi/major, minor/major) and range scales at a set of locations.

A scale multiplies every range of the variogram it is used with, and the search radius, at that location; scales defaults to 1, a constant or one per location.

at method descriptor

at(targets)

The anisotropy of the nearest location, at targets.

from_grid staticmethod

from_grid(model, column, *, window=2, ratios=None)

From the gradient of a block-model attribute: the structure tensor summed over window cells each side; the least-change direction is the major axis. Without ratios, ratios follow the tensor's eigenvalues.

from_mesh staticmethod

from_mesh(mesh, targets, *, major='dip', ratios=Ellipsis)

At targets, from the nearest triangle of mesh: the normal is the minor axis and major is "dip" or "strike".

from_parquet staticmethod

from_parquet(path)

Reads to_parquet output; raises InvalidInput on another class's file or a newer format.

from_points staticmethod

from_points(coords, *, k=20, ratios=None)

From a point cloud: principal axes of each point's k nearest points.

smooth method descriptor

smooth(radius)

Averages orientation tensors, ratios and scales within radius of each location.

to_parquet method descriptor

to_parquet(path)

Writes locations, angles and ratios as Parquet columns; from_parquet reads them back.
