set_units builtin

set_units(*, columns=None, length=None)

Sets project-wide units: readers and constructors give column name the unit columns[name] when it has none, and coordinates the unit length when they have none.

Parameters:

Name	Type	Description	Default
columns	dict of str to str or None	Column name to unit, merged into the current defaults; None removes a default.	None
length	str	Length unit of coordinates, such as m or ft; None leaves the current one.	None
